Patricia Neely Portrait

Patricia Neely "Life's Patterns are a recurring theme in my paintings. The old and the new...

Patricia is a native of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She received her BA from the University of Toronto. In 1963, she moved with her husband and children to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, where she lives today. While teaching art at Montoursville Area High School, she earned her MS Ed degree at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA.

From 1984 to 2002, she produced original handpainted silk art to wear, which was exhibited and sold nationally in galleries and juried shows. Honors received during that time included: a Niche Award from NICHE magazine; First Prize at the ACC Craft Show in Sarasota, FL from the American Craft Council; and selection for the publication The Best of Silk Painting by Diane Tuckerman and Jan Janus (North Light).

Patricia is now devoting her full time to watercolors, painting primarily the woodlands surrounding her home in Pennsylvania, as well as the rugged shores of Georgian Bay, where on an island near Pointe Au Baril, Ontario she and her family continue to spend their summers.
